I met up with Socrates Santana, Matheus Basto, and cinematographer George Powell this morning. George had asked me to line things up so that he could film interviews with Doutorzinho and Matheuzinho in their home community, up in Favela Pavão-Pavãozinho overlooking Copacabana. He's been gathering documentary footage of these two inspiring, young bodyboarders for the European Broadcast Union. With any luck the footage should appear on TV in the UK, Germany, and France sometime in the next couple of weeks. Thanks, George!
