With just about everybody in the bodyboarding community buzzing about the upcoming release of the new GoPro Hero3, I figured this would be a good time to put together a "How-To" blog for installing a GoPro camera on your bodyboard. There are several appoaches to this.
Installation Method #1: Using the GoPro Surf Kit
Installation Method #2: Customized Mounts
NOTE: Customized installations can be as simple or as intricate as you choose to make them. It all depends on how creative you want to get with it. Here are just a couple of suggestions for making and installing custom bodyboard mounts.
Installation Method #3: The GoPro Bodyboard Mount
NOTE: Due to an increased demand following the release of the GoPro Hero2, a bodyboard mount was manufactured and generally retails for $20-$25USD. The GoPro bodyboard mount is installed in a similar fashion as you would install a plug for your leash (see APPLIED SCIENCES: How to Choose and Install a Bodyboard Leash).
